AA — Warrior

Warrior AA path. Pure tank, DPS tank, or hybrid.

Warrior AA is the difference between an average tank and a raid-anchor tank. The three realistic spec paths:

Path 1 — Pure Tank (recommended for raid main-tank)

Priority spend, in order:

  1. Combat Stability (General) — +% damage mitigation per rank. The single highest-value Warrior AA.
  2. Combat Agility (General) — +% damage avoidance.
  3. Planar Durability (PoP-era) — stacks with the above.
  4. Shield Block (Warrior-class) — passive shield-parry chance.
  5. Improved Taunt — Taunt works against higher-level targets.
  6. Armor of Wisdom (late) — stats and mitigation.

Path 2 — DPS Tank

For off-tank or pull-tank roles:

  1. Weapon Affinity (General) — % chance for weapon procs to fire.
  2. Combat Fury (Warrior) — critical-hit chance on melee.
  3. Slay Undead — if you tank undead zones (Hate, Mistmoore, Unrest).
  4. Combat Stability (still take for survival).
  5. Ambidexterity — dual-wield boost if you go 1h+1h.

Path 3 — Hybrid

60% into Path 1 (survival first), 40% into Path 2 (parse contribution). This is the most common real-world Warrior spec on Crushbone.

Disciplines (not AA, but relevant)

Warrior disciplines expand dramatically post-50. Defensive Discipline (temporary massive mitigation boost) is Warrior-only and critical on raid bosses. Know the cooldown.

Priority order, simplified

If you only have ~50 AA spent:

  1. Combat Stability 1-3.
  2. Combat Agility 1-3.
  3. Shield Block.
  4. Weapon Affinity.
