Loot Policy
How loot is distributed on Crushbone. Group and raid rules.
Crushbone does not enforce a server-wide loot policy. Groups and raids choose their own. Here are the canonical options and what each is good for.
Group loot options
- FFA (free-for-all): first to loot wins. Fast, fair enough at low stakes.
- /rnd rolling: rolling
/random 1 100— highest number takes the drop. - Need-before-greed: class-needed drops go to the class; others roll.
- Round-robin: each drop rotates through group members.
Groups declare the rule before engaging a camp. Violating it gets you kicked from the group and reputation-damaged.
Raid loot systems
DKP (Dragon Kill Points)
- Attendance-weighted points.
- Players bid DKP on drops.
- Highest bid wins; DKP is deducted.
- Most popular raid system.
Suicide Kings
- Rotating list. Top name takes the next drop, moves to the bottom.
- Simple and fair.
Loot Council
- Officers decide distribution per item.
- Requires high trust.
- Works well for small, social guilds.
Random / Free-for-All
- For minor drops and events.
- Most raids still use DKP for major drops and FFA for trash.
On Crushbone
Each guild runs its own system. GMs do not adjudicate loot disputes — those are internal guild matters.
Public raids (GM-run events) typically use random roll for drops.
