Vah Shir
Lion-kin exiled kings, now a moonside nation. Starts in Shar Vahl.
Vah Shir are the cat-people of Luclin — tall, proud, descended from the Kerran but taken to the moon long ago. They live in Shar Vahl, one of only two non-overworld starting cities (the other being Paineel), and the first race on the server to start off-planet.

Available classes
Canonical Vah Shir: Bard, Beastlord, Berserker, Rogue, Shaman, Warrior.
On Crushbone's custom rules, any race can roll any class — so Vah Shir can roll every class in the game, including Berserker (Crushbone keeps Berserker accessible despite being canonically out-of-era).
City of origin
Shar Vahl is a circular moonside city in the Marus Seru region of Luclin. Central plaza, class trainers around the ring, banks near the entrance, and a lunar horizon visible from the high balconies. Shar Vahl is lavishly designed — every EverQuest player who reached Luclin has a Shar Vahl memory.
Shar Vahl connects through Hollowshade Moor to the wider Luclin map and, via the Nexus portals, back to Norrath.
Lore notes
The Vah Shir are descendants of the Kerran of Kerra Isle, taken to Luclin by the god Veeshan (or by the Kerran exodus, depending on which priest you ask) and settled on the moon's surface. They maintain a claim on their Norrath-side kinship and will acknowledge Kerran strangers as distant cousins.
Play note
Safe fall trivializes early Luclin travel — Shar Vahl's verticality rewards jumpers. A Vah Shir Bard is the fastest travel class in the game on Luclin's hills; Safe Fall + Selo's Accelerando + a racial sprint makes them hard to catch.

The Vah Shir Rogue and Shaman get an extra 5 allocation points (30 total instead of 25) as a canon-era racial favor preserved from Al'Kabor. See Stat Allocation Patches.
