Temple of Veeshan

The dragon-mother's temple carved into the cliffs of Western Wastes. The defining endgame raid zone of Velious.

Temple of Veeshan — ToV — is Veeshan's monumental temple carved into the eastern cliffs of Western Wastes on Velious. Dragons everywhere. Multiple wings, each with its own named dragon raid target, culminating in the chamber of Vulak'Aerr, the zone's final boss.

ToV is the Classic-Velious endgame raid zone and the defining raid destination of pre-PoP Crushbone.

Geography

ToV is organized by wing, each with increasing difficulty.

Halls of Testing (entry, levels 58-62)

Introductory raid-level patrols. Drakes, young wyrms, and caster-dragons. Gear check before committing to deeper wings.

Eastern Wing — Named Dragons (levels 62-65)

  • Aaryonar — raid named.
  • Druushk — named dragon.
  • Ikatiar the Venom — poison-themed named.
  • Nexona — named dragon.
  • Each named drops class-specific raid items.

Central Halls — Black Dragon Wing

Higher-tier named dragons culminating in Black Dragon Scale drops.

Western Wing — Priest of Discord chambers

Named dragon-priests and their elites. Quest components for multiple Epic 1.0 chains drop here.

Vulak'Aerr's Throne (zone boss)

The defining raid encounter. Multi-phase fight with:

  • Add spawns mid-fight.
  • Tank rotation requirements.
  • Drops Black Dragon Scale (used in Epic chains) and class-specific raid armor.

Notable drops

  • Black Dragon Scale — used in multiple Epic 1.0 combines.
  • Vulak'Aerr loot table — class-specific raid-tier armor and weapons.
  • Named dragon drops — per-named class-specific items.

Epic 1.0 connections

ToV's drops feed multiple Epic 1.0 chains:

  • Warrior Epic — ToV patrol drops.
  • Paladin Epic — Black Dragon Scale component.
  • Ranger Epic — Earthcaller's final raid kill happens in ToV.
  • Cleric Epic — raid-kill credit on multiple ToV named.

Raid significance

Most Velious-era guilds organize around ToV clears. Kill lists of Aaryonar / Druushk / Nexona / Vulak'Aerr are the defining Velious-era guild credentials.

Faction

Killing Claws of Veeshan members reduces Claws of Veeshan standing and raises Ring of Scale (good-dragon Velious faction). Players who want Skyshrine access from the good-dragon side pursue ToV kills deliberately.

Pull mechanics

ToV dragons require coordinated engagement:

  • Main tank holds the named.
  • Off-tanks handle adds.
  • Clerics rotate CH on the main tank.
  • Enchanter mez adds where applicable.
  • DPS focuses on a single target until phase transitions.

ZEM

Raid-zone ZEM. XP comes primarily from named kills, not grinding.

Getting there

  • From Plane of Knowledge: portal to Great Divide or Cobalt Scar, then travel to Western Wastes, enter ToV.
  • Bind in Thurgadin or Plane of Tranquility for easy corpse recovery.
