Caster spell crafting. Exclusive to Necromancer, Wizard, Magician, and Enchanter.
Research is the caster-exclusive tradeskill. Necromancers, Wizards, Magicians, and Enchanters use research to craft their own spell scrolls from components. Other classes cannot research.
Container
- Scribe's desk — in each caster's guild hall.
- Portable mortar — for field combines (rare).
What research crafts
- Spell scrolls — per-class spells across the full level range.
- Alternate casting variants — some research recipes yield scaled or variant versions.
Why research
- Money. Class-restricted spell scrolls sell for high prices. A researcher supplies their own guild and nets income.
- Unique spells. Some spells are research-only and cannot be vendor-bought.
