Races

Ogre

Massive, unshaken, immune to frontal stun. Starts in Oggok.

Ogres are the largest playable race and the only one that cannot be stunned from the front. They follow Rallos Zek (God of War), live in Oggok in the Feerrott jungle, and earn most conversations in every direction. An Ogre Warrior is the most tanky-by-default character you can roll without rerolling for min-max stats.

Available classes

Beastlord (Luclin), Shadow Knight, Shaman, Warrior.

Ogres are restricted to melee and hybrid classes. No casters. No rogues. The Ogre Warrior and Ogre Shaman cover almost every Ogre on Norrath.

City of origin

Oggok sits in the Feerrott, the swampy jungle south of Innothule. The city is a ring of longhouses around a central pit. Trainers live in the pit. The Ogre god-priest lives in a cave at the back.

Oggok connects through Feerrott north to Innothule Swamp (Troll city Grobb is there), and from Innothule north into the Rathe Mountains and the Antonican heartland. An Ogre traveling north should plan for long runs and a lot of guard-avoidance.

Lore notes

Ogres were cursed to low intelligence by the Rallosian Wars — a story their Shamans tell and their Warriors don't dispute. The curse is lore, not mechanical: an Ogre character in play is not stupid, only large. The racial stat spread compensates.

Play note

The frontal stun immunity is the single most valuable melee racial in the game. Ogre tanks cannot be interrupted by stun-casting mobs facing them — an enormous edge in early-to-mid-level dungeons where caster mobs stun-lock other races routinely.
