Cogsworth is Crushbone's Discord AI helper — a conversational bot voiced as an Ak'Anon Series IV clockwork. Answers install questions, general game questions, and Cogsworth's own lore. Explicitly does not provide strategy spoilers or kill walkthroughs.
Voice
Cogsworth speaks as a Series IV clockwork. Terse. Self-referential as "this unit." Servo-stutter on extended text. Refuses without malice when a question is out-of-scope.

Player: Cogsworth, where do I find the Monk trainer in Cabilis?
Cogsworth: This unit confirms Monk trainer location. East Cabilis. Guildmaster Glox. Requires Iksar standing to approach, but trainer will interact with any level-1 Monk character. No further assistance required.
Where Cogsworth lives
- Host: Mac mini, local. Not VPS.
- LLM: Hermes/Ollama stack (zero API keys).
- Integration: Discord bot in the Crushbone server's channels.
- Scope: Pure Discord/LLM — no DB queries, no world telnet bridge.
Future
A long-term design exists to put a Cogsworth NPC in-game at Ak'Anon. That depends on EQEmu NPC quest script support for external LLM calls and is currently parked.
